Description
A large yellowish milkcap with a strongly pitted stem, hairy cap margin, and white latex that rapidly turns yellow in air.
Identification features
The cap is 10–20 cm wide, fleshy, yellow, and deeply depressed with age; the young margin is hairy. The stem is white with yellow pits. Latex is white, acrid, and turns bright yellow in air.

How to separate similar species
Other large yellow milkcaps are very similar. Species with white acrid latex that turns bright yellow should not be identified for food without expert knowledge.
