Description
A rare pale Amanita with a relatively long stem, fleeting ring, striate cap margin, and small basal bulb.
Identification features
The cap is 4–8 cm wide, ochre to salmon-grey-yellow and paler toward the margin, which is often radially striate. Gills are white and free. The long stem has a whitish fleeting ring and small bulb.

How to separate similar species
It resembles other pale Amanita, including deadly species such as Amanita virosa. Cap colour alone is insufficient.
