Description
An ochre to greyish concentrically zoned bracket polypore on hardwood with small pale pores.
Identification features
Fruitbody about 3–10 cm long, thin and bracket-shaped. The surface is velvety and concentrically zoned mainly in ochre, grey and pale-orange tones.

How to separate similar species
Trametes versicolor usually has more contrasting colour zones. T. hirsuta is more strongly hairy.
