Description
A small orange-ochre wood fungus with very large angular pores resembling honeycomb.
Identification features
Cap about 2–8 cm wide, round to kidney-shaped, thin and pale ochre to orange. Pores are large, angular and run slightly down the very short lateral stem.

How to separate similar species
Cerioporus squamosus is usually larger and has a different scaly cap pattern.
Habitat
Grows on dead hardwood, mainly branches and logs, especially in spring and summer.
