Description
A large grey-brown funnel-shaped mushroom with crowded decurrent gills showing a greenish tint; on the Slovenian Red List.
Identification features
The cap is 10–15 cm, fleshy, grey to hazel-brown, first convex and later funnel-depressed. Gills are crowded, branched and decurrent, with a characteristic greenish tint.

Check the size, grey-brown funnel cap, very crowded decurrent gills and their greenish tint. Because it is rare, photograph it in place.
How to separate similar species
Clitocybe nebularis has a different smell and lacks the same characteristic greenish gill tint. Pale funnels include dangerous species, so caution is required.
Habitat
Grows on edges of dry meadows with conifers on calcareous soils, mainly in autumn.
