Description
A large grey-brown funnel-shaped mushroom with crowded decurrent gills showing a greenish tint; on the Slovenian Red List.
Identification features
The cap is 10–15 cm, fleshy, grey to hazel-brown, first convex and later funnel-depressed. Gills are crowded, branched and decurrent, with a characteristic greenish tint.

How to separate similar species
Clitocybe nebularis has a different smell and lacks the same characteristic greenish gill tint. Pale funnels include dangerous species, so caution is required.
