Description

A whitish thin crust polypore with reflexed margins and very small dense pores.

Fruitbody up to about 3 cm wide and only a few millimetres thick, white to cream and hard to the touch. Pores are very small, about 7–10 per mm.

Check the whitish crust fruitbody, reflexed margins and extremely small dense pores.

Many white crust polypores can look similar; reliable separation may be difficult without microscopy.

Grows year-round on dead wood of hardwoods and conifers, including in orchards.
