Description
A bolete with an ochre-brown cap, bright yellow pores, and a stem tapering toward the base.
Identification features
The flesh may blue slightly when cut; the stem has a fine yellow net and often a rooting base.
Habitat
Warm calcareous deciduous woodland under oak and beech.
Fruiting period
June, July, August, September, October
