Description
A large annual polypore with a smooth lacquered brown surface and broad pale margin, growing on hardwoods.
Identification features
Fruitbody 10–45 cm or larger, semicircular and laterally attached. Surface smooth, glossy and zoned brown; young margin broad whitish to cream.
