Description
A soft gelatinous bracket fungus with a whitish margin and strongly wrinkled orange to pink fertile surface.
Identification features
Fruitbodies form semicircular brackets up to about 4 cm, often shingled. The upper side is downy and pale; the underside orange to pink-brown, wrinkled-labyrinthine and gelatinous.

Check the soft gelatinous brackets and underside with orange-pink, strongly twisted folds and ridges.
How to separate similar species
Phlebia radiata is more crust-like and lacks such distinctly soft brackets. Related species can be similar.
Habitat
Grows on stumps and dead hardwood, occasionally conifer wood, mainly in autumn and early winter.
