Description
A small simple yellow club fungus of grassland and mossy habitats that can only be reliably separated microscopically.
Identification features
Fruitbodies are about 2–7 cm tall and 2–4 mm thick, nearly upright, club-shaped, smooth, brittle and uniformly yellow. The base is narrower and may be brownish-yellow.

Habitat
Grows in mossy woodland, mature unfertilised grassland and some forest habitats in late summer and autumn; rare.
