Description
A bracket fungus with distinct cinnamon, reddish and dark red-brown zones and greyish pores that darken when touched.
Identification features
Brackets are 8–15 cm wide, strongly multicolour-zoned with a paler margin. The fertile surface is pale grey to yellowish-white and irregularly porous.

How to separate similar species
Daedaleopsis confragosa is usually less distinctly tricoloured and differently zoned.
