Description
A small whitish to ivory club fungus with a characteristically pointed tip, growing among grass and moss.
Identification features
Fruitbody up to about 5 cm tall and up to 3 mm thick near the tip, cream-white to ivory, club-shaped and usually pointed. The tip may occasionally split. Lower part is narrower, waxy and silky.

How to separate similar species
Clavaria fragilis is also white but is often more worm-like and extremely brittle. Microscopy may be needed for atypical small club fungi.
